"Had a great time at the Linn-Mar 40th reunion. Good to see everyone and catch up on all the memories. Was discussing with a few people how we all were so anxious to move on with our lives and get to the next big thing. Yet we look back now and realize we were experiencing something truly special that we didn't comprehend at the time. While I was a realtive new-comer arriving in my Sophomore year, the friendships built in that school out in the cornfields, AKA cow-pie High, are lasting and meaningful. My only regret is that more didn't attend and it was too short; I truly enjoyed catching up with everyone and thank you all for your continued friendship."

"My wife and I attended a 40th class reunion (1979), for the school I started with (Linn-Mar Marion, IA). The last class I attended there was 5th grade (5H Miss Hightshoe) in 1971-1972. I actually recognized several people there! I looked through the yearbook and remembered about 25 percent of the class. This is my 5th grade class and I am in the 4th row down and the 3rd picture over."
